COST EDiSo

Working and Research Groups Meeting
14th June 2016 11.30-14.00

Main objectives:

(1) To develop joint proposals for the III Symposium EDiSo 2017 and (2) to propose other projects and activities within the framework of the association that may be networked.

Organisation:

Participating groups will have 5 minutes to present their proposals for the Third Symposium EDISO 2017 (Barcelona), in alphabetical order (you will find the list of abstracts at the end of this web page), from 11:30 to 12:30.

Participants will then gather in small groups of interest to discuss (1) possible joint activities (panels, workshops, roundtables) and to see how these could materialize in Barcelona and (2) to propose ways of integrating these thematic lines as a space for concrete action (e.g. particular research activities) within the association (see groups and projects linked to EDiSo in http://www.edisoportal.org/investigacion/grupos-y-proyectos), from 12:30 to 13:30.

The last 30 minutes will be devoted to putting the proposals together, which will then be shared with the organizing committee of EDiSo Barcelona 2017. This activity is aimed at finding synergies and/or potential collaborations between groups with similar interests, which will serve as a point of departure for action groups and research groups to have a discussion on how to articulate or revise the lines of research of EDiSo, continuing with the interdisciplinary dialogue initiated in previous symposia.

This activity will be developed together with the presidency, the vice-presidency, the research Commission and the Congresses and cultural activities Commission of EDiSo, and the organizing committee of the Seminar. It will be coordinated by Luisa Martín Rojo (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid), Clara Keating (Universidade de Coimbra), Marta Tordesillas Colado (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid) and Maria Sabaté-Dalmau (Universitat de Lleida).
